london, at first, feels like if you give a lake of coffee and some cameras to a herd of cows and send them through a shopping mall. kind of. but more classy and pretty, plus, you know, buckingham palace.

it's strange to see things in real life that you've only ever seen in movies. it makes you wonder if you're in a movie now too, and then you feel like you should be on the lookout for a villain or a detective or a talking animal or something. the plot could take a dramatic twist at any moment! stand up straight! keep your hair out of your face! look out for aliens! you eye each street performer suspiciously and smile at the cats, even though you normally don't like cats at all. you wander and don't care where you'll end up, because the plot will follow you wherever you go. you step in and out of buildings; museums, art galleries, massive candy and toy stores--you eat and walk and sit and talk and stare and gawk and you forget about the time because in movies, a whole entire lifetime can happen in two hours.

  2. Love that you were in my town.

And I live here but still feel a bit giddy when I see the sights, sometimes I can't believe I live here.

  4. I know what you mean about the movie feeling! That's how it was when I visited Chicago. I walked with a bit more poise that day... because of, you know, all the cameras on me of course.

Say anything you want. It doesn't even have to be relevant.
